One of Delaware County’s best kept secrets, Natural Gardens put a Farm Enhancement Grant to work expanding production capacity to support the farm’s restaurant, The Ponds at Natural Gardens and supply the public with fresh produce and perennial plants at the on-site farm stand. Carved from the landscape by owners Stephen McCarthy and Catherine Fletcher, Natural Gardens is a hidden gem of ponds, aquaculture, perennial gardens, native and exotic fruits and vegetables.
With the assistance of the grant, the farm was able to add a second aquaponics greenhouse, high tunnel production capacity, upgrade the garden pathways and revamp the farm stand. To date production of fruits, vegetables and perennials has doubled with an even greater expectation as the new flood and drain beds reach maturity. The Ponds Restaurant at Natural Gardens is fully farm to table, with all the fruit and vegetables harvested on site, served with meats locally sourced. Guests can also enjoy beers produced from the farm’s hops, brewed in the Natural Gardens micro-brewery.
Visit to soak in the beauty of the gardens, relax among the ponds, waterfalls, koi, lily pads, dragonflies, and delight on a meal full of local flavor! Come for an evening out or celebrate one of life’s grander moments in the event venue; no matter the occasion visitors are sure to have a memorable experience in a truly unique environment.
