Webcrest Farm

Renovated Roof Project

Webcrest Farm is presently home to 3 generations of the Weber family passionate about keeping agriculture and dairy thriving in preservation of that piece of the Bovina community heritage. Today the farm has been a family affair for over 100 years, presently milking a Holstein herd, cropping 300 acres of land, and grazing 30 Angus cow/calf pairs.

Over the years the Weber family has focused on preserving the farmstead and building a solid legacy for successive generations. The dairy barn has been the heart of the farm, and over the years has benefited from various improvement projects. A solid roof protects the structure and everything inside the barn; Webcrest farm was at a point where the last quarter of the barn roof needed replacement at the onset of COVID. Unfortunately, the challenges to the milk market at that time created hardship in completing

that project. The Delaware County Farm Enhancement grant was able to lift that burden, allowing the Weber family to complete the project.

Today the barn stands at the center of the operation, serving the needs of the Weber family, where the next two generations enjoy being involved in the day-to-day operations of the family farm. As an added advantage of this project, 100% of the grant funds were spent locally in the Delaware County economy.
