Delaware County CCE recently wrapped up another successful Ag Literacy Week, reaching 895 students across 70 classrooms in nine elementary programs. This year, volunteers from the agricultural community, including field staff, local FFA chapters, 4-H clubs, and Assemblyman Chris Tague, visited classrooms to read Seasons on the Farm by Chelsea Tornetto. Students then brought the story to life by creating their own “seasons wheel,” illustrating how farming changes throughout the year.
This program continues to be offered free of charge thanks to the generous support of Stamford Farmers’ Cooperative, Delaware County Farm Bureau, and DelRose Farm, who sponsored classrooms across the county.
