NYS 4-H Dairy Programs provides children and teens with dairy related events, activities and resources.
New York youth ages 5–19 have exciting opportunities to explore dairy cattle through 4-H and Cornell Cooperative Extension programs. Open to beginners and farm-raised youth alike, these hands-on experiences include raising and showing calves, judging contests, Dairy Bowl, and Dairy Challenge team competitions.
Participants build real-world skills in animal science, biology, nutrition, and agricultural business—while gaining confidence, friendships, and future career connections.
To get started, contact your local or county CCE or 4-H educator and discover where dairy can take you
