Beyond the Cash Box- Deploying a Point of Sales System in Your Farm Business

In March 2026 CCEDC offered Beyond the Cash Box a point of sales workshop developed for producers who sell direct to consumers. This hands-on workshop, showed participants how to choose, set up, and run a point-of-sale system that fits their operation. Producers were able to explore hardware options, employee vs. self-service checkout, product setup (by weight or item), and tips for faster sales, better records, and inventory insights.

CCEDC educator Desiree Keever introduced how the Cornell Farmers’ Market Research Project can support farm businesses from unboxing to their first successful sale.
