4-H Woodworking Class

• Thursday, April 9, 2026, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Join us for an exciting hands-on 4-H Woodworking Workshop where youth will partner with our 4-H Camp Shankitunk Director, Jon, to build a simple, take-home woodworking project! Participants will learn foundational woodworking skills such as measuring and marking accurately, safely using a variety of tools, sanding and finishing techniques, and the importance of craftsmanship and patience. Youth will receive guided instruction on proper tool handling, protective equipment use, workshop safety and more. This class is a wonderful opportunity for 4-H members to build confidence, responsibility, and practical life skills while creating something they can be proud of. We can’t wait to see our young builders grow their skills and have fun in the shop! The project will be announced as we get closer. Don't forget to enter your project in the county fair later this summer!*Note: A parent or guardian must remain on site to assist their youth in this project.Space is limited to 8 youth, so please save your spot at link provided.
