The much anticipated 4-H Growing Contest is back, with an extra special twist! Helping the community! Conversations around food security in our community are becoming more and more common. Delaware County 4-H has heard, and we’re here to help. Participating Delaware County 4-H Members who choose to pledge their hands to larger service, will be provided vegetable seeds to grow at home with the intent that the 4-Her will donate that produce to local organizations in need that assist community members with food security. The Extra Fun Part: There will be a competition aspect to the program where youth can compete to see who can donate the most homegrown vegetables to the community! The 4-Her who donates the most food will be recognized! During this program, youth will not only learn about how this new Growing Contest will work but will also receive their seeds and learn how to successfully grow the veggies selected this year. Pre-registration is required.
