4-H Has Heart - Thanksgiving Edition

Calling all 4-H youth & clubs: Our Delaware County 4-H team invite you to join us in this exciting county-wide community service initiative where we put 4H’s motto of Head, Heart, Hands, and Health into action by collecting food for local food banks, assembling Thanksgiving dinner kits, and creating festive turkey shelf sitters to share with those in need. We encourage you or your club to begin collecting non-perishable food items throughout November and bring them to the Hamden Office on 11-19 where we will assemble kits of mashed potatoes, canned veggies, stuffing, dessert mixes, canned ham, and more in foil pans that will be adorned with festive turkey crafts for distribution the following day to our county food pantries in time for the Thanksgiving holiday! Already running a drive in your club, fantastic. Please let us know which pantry you are serving, and we hope you will still join us to make some turkey crafts!  Please let us know if you are planning to participate, need ideas on what to collect, or have questions at link provided.
