Using research-based methods from Cornell Cooperative Extension, this course will help you learn the skills needed to preserve food with confidence.Topics Covered&amp;nbsp;Safe canning (Boil Water Bath &amp; Pressure Canning)Understanding “why” methods (acid, temp, bacteria control)Preservation methods (not just canning)Safety of recipesJams &amp; jellies (low/no sugar)Drying (fruit, vegetables, herbs, jerky)Freezing for quality and safetyThis training is offered in a hybrid format, including:Three online sessions&amp;nbsp; May 14th 6:30 PM-8:30 PMMay 21st 6:30 PM-8:30 PMJune 8th 6:30 PM-8:30 PM&amp;nbsp;Two hands-on sessions&amp;nbsp; June 10th and 11th at 4H Camp Shankitunk, located just outside of Delhi, NY.
