4-H Livestock Auction – Saturday, August 22, 2020

The 4-H Livestock Auction Project areas include beef cattle, meat goats, sheep, and swine.

AUCTION ANIMAL REGISTRATION DEADLINE

These registration deadlines are final.  Auction registration forms will not be accepted after these dates.  NO EXCEPTIONS, as directed by the 4-H Program Issue Committee.

~Beef Cattle – Owned by June 15; Registered for auction by January 6, 2020;  Tagged for auction on June 20
~Meat Goats – Owned by June 15; Registered and Tagged for auction on June 20, 2020
~Sheep – Owned by June 15; Registered and Tagged for auction on June 20, 2020
~Swine – Owned by June 15; Registered and Tagged for auction on June 20, 2020
MANDATORY TAGGING / WEIGH-IN

Auction exhibitors (meat goats, sheep, and swine) need to bring the completed blue registration forms that were mailed to them.  These will be due at tagging/weigh-ins.

Pre-registered beef animals need to be brought to the fairgrounds to be tagged for the auction. You may weigh your animals (including steers) at that time.

2020 Date:

  • Saturday, June 20; 10 am -Noon; Delaware County Fairgrounds, Walton
AUCTION PROJECT RECORDS

4-H Livestock Auction Project Records will be accepted up until 5 pm on Monday of fair week.  NO EXCEPTIONS, as directed by the 4-H Livestock Advisory Committee.  If records are not received by 5 pm, the animal(s) will be entered into a non-auction class and disqualified from the auction.

FAIR WEEK SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
          Monday
  • 1 pm  –    Weigh-in of 4-H Market Animals Begins
  • 5 pm  –    4-H Market Animal Project Records Due to the Summer Assistant
          Friday
  • 10 am  –    4-H Weigh-in Auction Animals/Livestock Barn
           Saturday
  • 2 pm  –    4-H Livestock Auction/Livestock Show Ring
