Enrollment for the 2024-2025 4-H Year is now open! All youth must be enrolled by January 31st.

Enrollment Kick-Off Extravaganza!
Join us at 4-H Camp Shankitunk for an afternoon of fun and exploration of all that 4-H has to offer. Complete your re-enrollment forms, tour the 4-H Camp, try out some activities, do a craft project, enter the baking contest, decorate a pumpkin, and much more! Early Bird Enrollment
Getting new youth enrolled and returning youth re-enrolled early on in the process maximizes the amount of time they are able to participate in 4-H programming. As a thank you for those who get signed up early, we’re offering you a chance to win a free week at 4-H Camp Shankitunk for summer 2024! Day or Overnight programming, the choice is yours! Want to be sure you are entered?
The 4-H Spirit
Every year during National 4-H Week, 4-Hers are encouraged to send in photos that show their 4-H Spirit. Check out our recent winners below!
Participation Expectations
To be considered an active 4-Her in Delaware County, youth must participate in a minimum of two 4-H activities each year. 4-H Activities may include:
- Attending 6+ club meetings
- Attending a 4-H hosted class or workshop
- Showing an animal at the Delaware County Fair or New York State Fair
- Exhibiting projects in the Youth Building at the Delaware County Fair or New York State Fair
- Participating in the 4-H Livestock Auction
- Attending a week at 4-H Camp Shankitunk
- And much, much more!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Who can enroll in 4-H?
4-H is open to any youth from the ages of five to nineteen. Persons considered to be mentally disabled may participate fully in 4-H programs as long as their mental age is determined to fall between five and nineteen years of age.
Youth who are five through seven years of age on or before January 1 of the 4-H year should enroll as a 4-H Cloverbud member.
Youth who have reached their nineteenth birthday before January 1 of the 4-H year may not enroll as a 4-H member.
Do I have to live in Delaware County to enroll?
No. We do allow out-of-county residence enrollments, but there is an additional screening process. Please contact Emily Roach at esc33@cornell.edu or 865-6531 before beginning the enrollment process to see if you qualify.
